FAQ
How Do I Book A Unit?
First enter your dates in the search box and hit search, all units that show up are available your dates, there is no need to email and ask for availability, the website will only show you up to the minute units that are available your dates and will not allow you to book a unit that is not available.
Find the unit you wish to book, review the pictures, description, amenities and features that unit offers and make sure it meets your needs. All units can be booked live online instantly. Look for the “BOOK NOW” button on the unit you want, click on that and it will calculate a full breakdown of the stay for you including all taxes and cleaning fees and you just proceed with paying the condo owner right online by most any major credit card.
Within seconds of payment approval, an onscreen confirmation of your stay will appear that you can print out for your records or one will automatically be emailed to you. If you don’t see your email confirmation in your inbox, check your junk folder. Your email confirmation will confirm all your condo door codes, Internet passwords, directions, unit information etc. All owners require 30% down, remainder due 30 days before arrival.
Is there a Resort Fee or Check in Fee?
There is no resort fee or check in fee on any units on the WaikikiBeachRentals website with the exception of condo 2444 that is serviced by the hotel. All other units show the complete costs on the booking page before you book the condo online. No additional fees are added.
What is check in and check out time?
3pm check in, 11am check out.
What about early check ins?
Normal check in time is 3pm.
Option 1: To guarantee an early check in for your arrival is to book or add the night before to your booking so you can arrive straight to your condo regardless what time you arrive.
Option 2: Early check ins (if available) are allowed to be booked online between 12am to 3pm Hawaii Standard Time the day before your arrival. A $35 fee plus tax applies.
The payment link to order and pay for an early check in is located on your email confirmation that contains your door codes. If you deleted that email by mistake, you can go to contact us on the website and ask that it be resent to you, please state unit number and date of arrival. All payments links must be clicked on and can not be retyped.
You can check the availability of an early check by entering the condo number under “specific unit” in the search condo box and pulling up that condo. Then click on more info and check the calendar. If the upper portion of the box on your arrival is red, that means an early arrival is not available and the 3pm check in time is the only option.
If an early check in is not available, the bell captain will hold your bags for $2 each bag till normal check in time.
If you did not pay for an early check in then your check in time will be scheduled for 3pm. There is no adjusting for an earlier check on the day of your arrival as cleaners may have 50+ condos to prepare that day and their schedule is already fixed and may not be altered, no exceptions.
Early check ins are allowed to be booked online 39 hours before your scheduled check in time so there is plenty of time for guests to process the request.
All early check in fees and taxes are 100% non refundable, no exceptions.
Is there a pool we can use?
Yes, there are two pools at the Ilikai. The Ilikai Lokahi Pool and Sun Deck on the 2nd floor and the Ilikai Lobby Pool.
How far is the beach?
If you look at the pictures of the lagoon, that sand is where the famous Waikiki Beach starts, just 30 yards left of our property line.
Where is the Nearest Grocery Store?
There is a small but expensive grocery store in the lobby or an ABC store right across the street near McDonald’s or next door to the Diamond Head side. The best store is either Foodland at the Ewa side of Ala Moana Shopping Mall (15 Minute walk) or Don Quixote’s at 801 Kaheka St., Honolulu, HI 96814, open 24 hours. For those walking, many people take all their bags back to the condo by taking a $8 Uber or taxi. There is also a Costco (near Home Depot), Sam’s Club and a 24 hours Wal-Mart behind the Ala Moana Shopping Center.
What condiments are in the kitchen?
As a safety issue and to protect our guests, no condiments are left in the rooms. All food items are discarded after each guest.
How much for internet?
Internet is free in all units. All units now have free wifi that is provided by the Ilikai Association. Just connect to the network wifi modem in your unit, the SSID and password are labeled on each modem. There is also a free wifi hotspot in the lobby area and soon the pool area will also be covered.
